Objectives

To promote quality, efficiency, effectiveness, and productivity in state, county, local, and federal governments in the metropolitan area of the District of Columbia.

To promote the development of professionally trained public sector managers.

To provide opportunities for professional growth of society members through continuing education.

To promote a standard of behavior that demonstrates a high level of ethical responsibility in the performance of public duties.

To facilitate positive changes that improve the delivery of public service and services.

To associate with professional public managers on a district, state, and national level.

To promote fellowship and cooperation in public service.

To provide expertise for conducting research and investigating public management issues.
